4th Annual Global Poker Awards Nominees

The nominees for the fourth annual Global Poker Awards have been announced, with several players in the running for multiple awards, including two-time GPI winner Jamie Kerstetter, as well as World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion Espen Jorstad and content creator Ethan. “Rampage” Yau, Caitlin Comeski and Marl Spragg, the last four are about to receive their first awards.

There were 17 categories of votes in this competition, and in the first week of March, the four categories with the highest fan votes were announced. Among the nominees are recipients of many previous GPI awards,including players such as Stephen Chidwick, Daniel Negreanu, Brad Owen and Lex Veldhuis, as well as industry professionals such as Matt Savage, Paul Campbell and Jeff Platt.
The winner in each category will be announced during the Global Poker Awards livestream at PokerGO Studios in Las Vegas on March 3rd at 5:30 pm local time.
Among them,Both Yau and DePaulo were nominated for Best Vlogger last year but lost to Brad Owen, while Veldhuis received his second award after being named Vlogger of the Year in 2019.
Angela Jordison is nominated for the GPI Breakout Player Award after being narrowly named GPI Female Athlete of the Year and Main Intermediate Female Athlete of the Year. Also nominated are Jorstad, who won two gold bracelets last summer, as well as emerging poker personalities Lokoko and Yau and high-stakes newcomer Punnat Pansri.
The return of Poker Hall of Famer Phil Ivey earned the poker legend a Returning Player nomination against fellow nominees Alex Keating, Taylor von Kriegenberg and Daniel Weinman.
Jesse Fullen of PokerNews is one of four nominees for the Rising Star Content Creation Award and has done everything from hosting an April Fool’s joke to coordinating the 2022 PokerNews Cup.
Also nominated in this category are Caitlin Comesky, who also competed for Best Media Content: a video for her hilarious parody of the jack-4 controversy, as well as Natalie Bode of PokerGO and Lexi Gavin-Mather of PokerCoaching.com.
